How to make the tags
- Print at 100%. Check the 1 inch / 2.5 cm bar on page 1.
- Color (optional). Markers and crayons work best on card stock.
- Cut. Cut on the dashed lines, then trim the angled corner.
- Punch. Make a hole at the punch mark with a hole punch.
- Tie on. Thread 6 in (15 cm) of string or ribbon through the hole and tie it to the gift.
Ideas for the classroom
- Class swap: use page 3 and have students write one kind thing about the person.
- Gifts for helpers: tags for the custodian, librarian, or bus driver.
- Colorable craft: leave tags blank and let students decorate for a quiet activity.
